Edinburgh Cycle Hire Scheme ongoing coronavirus working practices

As coronavirus restrictions in Edinburgh and the Lothians remain in place Edinburgh Cycle Hire Scheme continues to follow government requirements with regards to enhanced cleaning, PPE and the health and safety of our colleagues working in and around the city, on our premises and our customers.

When bikes arrive back in our depot high-contact surfaces are diligently cleaned by our maintenance colleagues. At the start of each shift our operations team disinfect high-contact surfaces on vans used to transport our bikes. All our colleagues are instructed to adhere to all government requirements relating to face coverings, social distancing and general good hygiene when undertaking their duties.

We are asking our customers to follow the latest government information to use the bikes for essential travel or exercise and to remain within their local area, taking their own preventative steps by washing and disinfecting their hands before and after using our bikes.
